FIRST class badges have been awarded to four cadets from 272 (Wisbech) Air Squadron.

Akshay Kishor, John Goude, Jerin Mathew and James Macallum studied various subjects including history of the RAF, history of flight, map reading, basic radio and airmanship to pass their basic training.

“Now the cadets are first class cadets they are able to undertake most activities that the cadets offer,” a spokesman for the squadron said.

James Macallum, 14, added: “I’m really pleased that my hard work has paid off and I’m now a first class cadet. I’m proud of my achievement.”
