I am very concerned about many issues such as children running wild, vandals destroying property, youths drinking and stealing and causing actual bodily harm to elderly and vulnerable people. Where are the parents we ask?

I was a teacher of remedial children and also a carer myself for many years. These did not grow up to abuse people or destroy gardens or vandalise property. Why? Because their parents were in control.

Too soft a regime lets a child get away with bad behaviour and the disrespect of adults and authority. This must change and soon before we slide into a child-run anarchy and fearful people.

Many are out of control at an early age. Youngsters of 10 and 11 upwards are on the streets causing havoc, and teens and youths are teaching the young ones to disobey, drink and take drugs.

Tough love is needed to save these young ones now.
