Why all the wind farm protests?

YOU seem to read a lot these days of people constantly objecting to the erection of wind turbines, from different residents who will live near them or from FLAT. I simply do not understand their objections. While on one hand, I do see that large groups of

YOU seem to read a lot these days of people constantly objecting to the erection of wind turbines, from different residents who will live near them or from FLAT. I simply do not understand their objections.

While on one hand, I do see that large groups of wind turbines, when placed all together can look rather messy, and not attractive, the odd ones here and there are fine and add to the landscape of Fenland.

I know that there has been a lot built in quite a short space of time, but they do not take away anything from the landscape.

Wind turbines are a simple method of generating electricity, and I'm sure most people would rather have the sight of a few wind turbines than a nice big Nuclear Power Plant across the fields
