THANKS for producing such a good local paper that actually has news it rather than just pages and pages of adverts.

Could you please run a feature to focus on or say thank you to all the people who keep the roads clear over the icy/snowy times?

I think a lot of people do not realise that the gritter and snowplough operators are doing this job in addition to there normal days work.

It may also be good to highlight all the people who are on call over Christmas eg emergency plumbers, gas men. Perhaps this could be followed up with nurses/doctors on call - I think everyone likes to feel appreciated and so much of what these people do is hidden or only heard about when people are unhappy with the service.
