I WAS saddened, but not surprised, to learn of a 'road rage' incident between parents dropping children off at Kingsfield School, Chatteris.

The school is poorly accessed, through a couple of housing estates. It is unfortunate that when the county council recently rebuilt the school, they ignored the town council's request to construct a new, safer, vehicle entrance from the bypass.

When my son attended the school, I was always dismayed at the volume of cars delivering children to school.

Perhaps the school could apply for funding from the county council "Safer Routes to School".

I have details and I will be very pleased to supply them to anyone interested.
