The East of England Regional Assembly (EERA) announced on October 27

that the East of England Plan, which sets out future plans for this Region, will be reviewed and extended to 2031.

While I welcome the objectives of EERA, I have grave concerns about the basis on which they are laying their plans.

There is a risk of EERA virtually ignoring the advent of diminishing oil reserves, the dramatic loss of current economic confidence, and the onset of dangerous climate change.

The 'Green New Deal' proposed by Caroline Lucas MEP, Green Party Leader, puts forward a radical but achievable manifesto on how to tackle both the economic and ecological crisis together.
