MAY I first of all say that I think the March Christmas lights are terrific and a credit to the hard work of those who give their time to put them up, and take them down.

My previous comments arose between the contrast of the loud and visible band and compere, and the soundless and invisible children's choir, standing as I was at the entrance to the Town Hall.

I had been told by a member of the lights committee last year that they were not allowed on the trailer because of all the equipment and health and safety.

I stand by my support of the children, but if anything I wrote has offended anyone, in this season of goodwill, I hope they will accept my sincere apology.
