FIRSTLY may I thank the Wisbech Standard for publishing photos from our 2009 production of "High School Musical" that was performed at the Thomas Clarkson Community College, Wisbech at the end of December.

We did, however, notice that there appeared to be rather an imbalance from the paper when a review was published in the paper by someone from your newspaper on both the Angles Theatre panto and a pantomime in Hunstanton.

Being the Wisbech Standard, I can understand why a Wisbech panto was reviewed, but could not understand why the other pantomime was publicised.

Both ourselves and the Angles Theatre are trying to entertain local people from the Wisbech area, and to publicise a professional panto from another area makes our cause rather harder.

Wisbech Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society is an institution in Wisbech that has been providing entertainment to local audiences since 1905, and having relocated to the Thomas Clarkson Community College to perform provides the only place in Wisbech to perform musicals in a larger venue.

This venue is superb and when performing the audience would think they are in a real large theatre.

We do hope that our future productions may continue to receive support from you, including a review-I do believe that this was the first year in our history that someone from the Standard did not review our show.
