I READ with disgust the remarks made by Peter Humphreys when he described the two Park Home sites as low cost housing.

It is a crying shame that someone entrusted as an agent for a development company has such outdated views.

If he took the time to check the facts before making such derogatory remarks he would discover that properties in this area are within the same price bracket but with a lot less to offer.

Most homes have between 700 and 1,000 square feet of floor area and are far better equipped than the normal house or bungalow, having either fitted or walk-in wardrobes together with en suites.

In addition to the purchase price each homeowner pays in excess of £1,000 a year, part of which goes to the upkeep of the parks which are kept in pristine condition.

All homes have individual drives, most with garages.

Cars are not allowed to park on roadways having to use drives or parking bays.

The only downside is that we have to travel along little better than unmade roads to arrive at our haven.

I wonder if the homes proposed by Churchfield Developments will have as much to offer or that the estate will be kept in such good order, bearing in mind it will be set amongst roof truss manufacturers, shed manufacturers, metal fabricators and car breakers and crushers.

I think Fenland Council should stick to its earlier decision and leave the land for industrial use only.
