The Wisbech Music Society will host a concert by the internationally-acclaimed duo of Michael Foyle (violin) and Maksim Štšura (piano) this month.
They will perform Mozart’s Sonata in B flat K378, Beethoven’s Sonata in A the ‘Kreutzer’, and Sonata No 3 by Brahms, in Russell Hall of Wisbech Grammar School on Friday January 19.
The Foyle-Štšura Duo were praised for playing of ‘compelling conviction’ by the Daily Telegraph at their Purcell Room debut in 2015.
The same year, they won the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe Duo Competition in London and the Salieri-Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition in Verona.
Since starting their collaboration in 2012, they have performed in venues across the UK including Queen Elizabeth Hall, Buckingham Palace, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Purcell Room and at the Philharmonia/Royal College of Music Lutoslawski Centenary Festival.
Tickets cost £10 for concessions and £7 for adults and are available on the door or in advance from Fraser Dawbarns, 1-3 York Row, Wisbech.
The concert starts at 7.30pm.
