Trad jazz comes to the Angles Theatre, Wisbech, with a night of the happy and exciting sounds of old school.

Echoes of Acker Bilk, Kenny Ball, Chris Barber and the halcyon days of trad jazz mix with fun and upbeat tempos alongside cool blues.

Featuring Pete Allen on clarinet and saxophone, he has topped the bill in the magical American homes of jazz, St. Louis, Sacramento and New Orleans, where he was awarded an honorary citizenship for his services to jazz music.

In the mid-eighties he was chosen to lead the Worldwide All Stars at the Jazz Jubilee in Sacramento, USA.

Local man Sean Moyses will be providing banjo, guitar and ukulele.

No stranger to The Angles, Sean’s music has taken him around the world and after 15 years of living and playing music in Germany, returned to live in the area a few years ago.

His credentials reads like a who’s who in the entertainment world.

As a special guest for the evening Wisbech singer/song-writer Jacqui Huggins will be taking the stage to present some classic American song-book hits.

She has sung for six decades on the local scene.
