THIRTEEN tiny paper-cut doves created by a Fenland artist will be winging their way to Israel to feature in an exhibition in the country’s capital city, Tel Aviv.
Karen Harvey, who is better known locally for her work with arts organisation Atelier East, created the work specifically working with an old wedding photograph and cutting the shapes to create different expressions on the bride’s face.
Karen said of her work: “It’s a bit of fun really. The piece is being installed in a window, so I liked the thought of the little birds flitting by and catching the viewer’s attention, or not!”
The exhibition, called Fly by Night, has been curated by international artist Gali Timen who has recently showed at Tender Pixel Gallery in Trafalgar Square.
