The Yeomen of the Guard will be performed by Upwell Gilbert and Sullivan Society next month.
Ann Allen, of the group, said: “This is possibly the closest of the G&S shows to real opera and is not produced very often because it requires a larger quantity of male soloists and chorus.
“It is a more dramatic show than the usual comic operettas, and although there is some of the usual comedy, intrigue and Sullivan’s wonderful music, it builds to a memorable dramatic finale.”
The performances will take place from 7.30pm on Thursday 14, Friday 15 and Saturday 16 April at St Andrews Methodist Church, Outwell.
Tickets; £7 for adults and £4 for children, can be purchased by calling Peter and Linda Calver 01945 773070.
