AUSTRALIAN Andrew Devenish smashed his maiden century for March I to help the club cruise to an eight-wicket Rutland Division Two win over Castor.

Castor's No. 7 C Davis rescued some respectability for his side with 58 not out as they finished on 165-8.

March bowler Stuart Mills was in superb form, taking 3-16, Steve Seymour took 2-33 and Chris Ringham (1-37) and Jake Wenman (1-22) took a wicket each.

March's opener Devenish smashed eight sixes and 10 fours in his 109 not out and Seymour added 48 and March finished on 168-2.

An excellent Fenland League clash saw 10-man Somersham's last wicket partnership creep to victory over Wisbech II with an over to spare.

Keith Jakings (35), Shane Sleath (31) and Dom Stannard (29) enabled Wisbech Wisbech to set 169-9.

Somersham started their final batting partnership with eight runs needed and S Cornwell and P Coleman did what was needed to get over the line.

Nicholas Usher's sweet 50 helped Doddington edge to an eight-run Fenland Trophy win over Chatteris.

Usher was well assisted by Daniel Martell (27), Pat O'Connor (24) and Scott Bamford (31) as Doddington reached 179 all out, while Anthony Palmer was Chatteris's best bowler with 3-19.

Palmer then proceeded to impress with the bat.

The Chatteris opener scored 49 runs and No. 4 Alexander Platt weighed in with 48, but they received little support and Chatteris finished on 171-9.

Barrie Carter (3-38) and Ben Pyle (2-24) were Doddington's best bowlers.
