After a sorry start to the season, the Wisbech Wildcats are finally firing on all cylinders.
With the first team out of action, the youthful Wildcats ran in an impressive 12 tries in their dominant victory over Shelford 5ths to seal their fourth straight win in all competitions.
Skipper Olly Mackett said: “After a poor start to the season, we’ve turned a corner.
“The spirit within the squad is excellent and credit must go to the attitude of the players who have been dropped from the first team in recent weeks.
“They put commanding performances in and showed why they deserve their first-team places back. Their presence in this team has been of great value in helping to develop the less experienced players.”
The Wildcats will look to make it five wins on the spin when they entertain Newmarket 2nds (2pm) while the first team travel to Thurston (also 2pm).
