WISBECH'S defence dug deep but failed in their attempts to shut out the league leaders.
They managed to hold Peterborough until just before half-time, which a ball into the circle was deflected into the goal.
After the break the defence continued to work hard, but Peterborough scored a scrappy second before a well-worked third goal sealed the points.
Wisbech host Cambridge South IV in their next game on Saturday, which starts at 11.30am.
