Ridgeons League Challenge Cup Final: Wisbech Town 1 Wroxham 0
A FIRST-HALF penalty from Callum Reed secured Wisbech Town’s first trophy in 16 years at the home of Dereham Town yesterday.
Reed cooly slotted home after striker Darren Jimson had been hauled to the ground to bring joy to the hundreds of Fenmen fans who flocked to the game.
Steve Appleby’s side weathered a second-half barrage of pressure from Wroxham - with ‘keeper Lea Jordan and returning captain Paul Cousins in fine form - to clinch the victory.
