Ridgeons League Challenge Cup Second Round: Wisbech Town 4 Diss Town 1
THE Fenmen cruised through to the Ridgeons League Challenge Cup quarter-finals after a comfortable 4-1 victory over Diss Town last night.
Goals from Paul Cousins, Andy Furnell and the impressive Matt Lunn put the home side 3-0 up before a mistake from Lea Jordan allowed the visitors a glimmer of hope when they pulled a goal back with just over 20 minutes left.
However, a spectacular own-goal from Damien Phelan gave the hosts a deserved victory and ended any slim chances of a Diss fightback.
