Dick Creasey has hailed the impact of Wisbech Town starlet Harry Limb after he fired a superb hat-trick last night – but still believes there is still room for improvement in the teenager’s game.

Limb, who joined the Fenmen from Boston United in the summer, took his tally to 12 for the season as Wisbech progressed into the semi-finals of the Cambs Invitation Cup with a 4-2 success over lower-level Eaton Socon.

And Creasey has no doubts that Limb will go on to bigger and better things – but wants the 17-year-old to continue to find the net for Wisbech.

“The boy has scored five in two now,” he said. “I’ve got nothing but admiration for him.

“He came to the club as a 16-year-old and he’s done a great job. We can definitely brush up on a few things to make him a better overall player.

“His play inside the box speaks for itself, but some of his passing and play outside the box can definitely be brushed up.

“We know he can get better and he knows he can get better, but the important thing is that he’s a Wisbech player and he’s enjoying his time here and long may that continue.”

Sam Murphy netted Wisbech’s fourth and final goal as they ended the Huntingdonshire outfit’s 19-match unbeaten run and extended their own to five, and Creasey wants their purple patch to continue for as long as possible.

“We’re five unbeaten now and we definitely want to keep it going,” he said.

“It’s disappointing that we didn’t get a game last Saturday as we always want to play but you can’t help the weather.

“We’ve got some tough games coming up against Eynesbury (November 26) and Deeping (November 29) and we’ll go into them full of confidence.”

That tough run of fixtures begins on Saturday against mid-table rivals Northampton ON Chenecks (away, 3pm) and Creasey admits he faces a selection headache ahead of their first UCL Premier Division match in a fortnight.

“The hardest thing is picking the side to play in those games,” he said.

“We had five or six different players in the side on Tuesday and we’ve got a few of the reserve lads pushing to get in the side.”
