Wisbech Town overcame an early wobble to beat Bluntisham by 128 runs and become CCA Senior Division Two champions.
Batting first, they got off to a very shaky start, with the top four of Shane Sleath, Matt Esser, Dom Stannard and Harry Johnson falling cheaply.
But Ali Anthony (39) began the rebuilding process, before Rhys Howell (83) and captain Jamie Gollands (53) produced an excellent partnership to get Wisbech up to a very competitive 247-9 off 45 overs.
Wisbech’s bowlers were right on the money and took Bluntisham wickets at regular intervals. Arran Shipley picked up excellent figures of 4-14, while Jonathan Garner provided good support with 3-34.
There was also a wicket each for Lyndon Mallett, Gollands and Thomas Dunning. Bluntisham ended on 119 all out.
