WISBECH Rugby Club’s junior sides tasted victory and defeat at last weekend’s matches in Boston.
The under-8s won 9-4 with Sam Howat running in six tries. Two more were scored by Evan Samways and another from Jack Fowler to complete a fantastic victory.
The under-7s battled valiantly against their older under-8 counterparts and were unlucky to lose 6-3. Oliver Mann scored two tries while Jenson Nunn added another.
Luke Green was player of the week for the under-10s, who lost their first match 20-15 but responded excellently to win the second game 15-5.
Ethan Gutherie and James Shelley made some excellent try-saving tackles in the victory while new-boy Finlay Mead gave his best display since joining the club.
