WISBECH Rugby Club’s junior sides celebrated a successful campaign at their end of season awards dinner.
More than 100 players, coaches and parents attended Wisbech Rugby Club’s end of season event where the town’s mayor Nick Meekins handed out trophies.
Oliver Mudoch was crowned under-7 player of the year, with Joshua Bell winning the most improved player prize. Ewan Samways was players’ player for the under-8s, Nathan McKenzie the most improved and Ben Wilcox the side’s clubman of the year.
Henry Mair (under-9s players’ player), George Paul (under-9s most improved), Cameron Finlay (under-10s players’ player), Oliver Simpson (under-10s most improved forward) and James Shelley (under-10s most improved back) were the other main trophy winners.
There was also a special award for Frank Etherington, who not only excelled as a player this season, but raised more than �750 for the club throughout the year.
