EASTERN COUNTIES DIVISION ONE
Wisbech 1st XV 13 Lowestoft and Yarmouth 1st XV 13
A LATE Mark Laws penalty kick kept Wisbech on course for promotion.
They are second with two games left - away to Holt on April 12 and at home to Fakenham the following week.
Should results go Wisbech's way they will secure a play-off place against the second-placed team from the Essex Division One for a place in the London Four North East Division.
Playing with a strong wind on their backs, Wisbech were two tries to the good with only 20 minutes played.

Jacques Steynberg was instrumental in both, creating the first for Laws by instigating a move that saw the backs pass the ball quickly and with precision.
For the second try, Steynberg made the initial break, passed and looped round to receive the ball at pace and sprinted 20 metres to score.
Both conversion attempts were missed in the swirling wind but a 10-point lead had been established.
Five minutes before half-time, the game saw a dramatic change as scrum half Rudi Van de Merwe suffered a bad injury forcing him from the field of play.
As Wisbech had to re-organise and play into the strong wind in the second half, the away side took the opportunity to attack.
Despite some magnificent defensive work by the home side, Lowestoft managed to cross the line twice to level the scores at 10-10.
The visitors pressed again and were awarded a penalty to take a three-point lead with only a few minutes left to play.
Wisbech had worked too hard in this game to be defeated and quickly worked the ball into the oppositions 22.
A penalty was awarded and Laws picked his moment well to calmly kick the three points for a 13-13 draw.
