A GREAT spell of bowling saw Craig Johnson get Wisbech first team get out of jail, taking 6-17 as they went top of the Tucker Division One.

Wisbech beat Godmanchester seconds by 51 runs.

After being dismissed for 146, with Damien Coad top scoring with 27, Johnson turned the game on its head to shoot Godmanchester out for 95.

Grant Clark scored 49 as Wisbech seconds claimed a fine narrow win at Ufford Park in the Hunts Division Two.

Matthew Parrin weighed in with 32 and Lyndon Waters (36 not out) and Shane Sleath (18 not out) took Wisbech from 134-8 to their total of 194-8.

Ufford Park were going along nicely despite Brad Apted's 3-34 and only required 32 off the last seven overs with five wickets in hand but Waters and Tom Bourne bowled excellently at the death.

Tom Coates (67), Dom Stannard (56), Gavin Plume (48), Keith Jakings (25) and Richard Harnwell (22) helped Wisbech thirds to a 79-run win at Swaffham seconds in the West Norfolk Division Three.

Wisbech posted 254-7 and although Swaffham were always behind the chase, Wisbech needed to get them all out to gain maximum points and they did so with two balls remaining.

Zac Brown (4-38) and Lee Peck (3-39) did the most damage.

Wisbech fourth team made it a perfect day for the club on Saturday when picked up a 33-run West Norfolk Division Four win over Necton.

Wisbech posted 170-8 with Ken Smart (34), Matthew Esser (33), Martin Parrin (22) and Adam Thomas (20) leading the scoring.

Bob Burgess (3-29) and Danny Haynes (2-18) were the pick of the bowling as Necton were dismissed for 137.
