Wisbech Ladies first team vice captain Laura Overland and former club member Jo Bland, who now plays for Long Sutton, recently attended the over 40’s east women’s masters trials.

The ladies went through a tough selection process and have been successful and been selected to join the east women’s masters squad.

It won’t be long before Laura and Jo have their first meet with the squad, as they have been invited to compete in the regional tournament at Cannock in May 19 and 20.

Kim Speed, of the club, said: “Congratulations, it’s a great achievement. You have put two small local clubs firmly on the national map.”
