THERE were some fine performances from the nine members of Fenland Runners who competed in the third race of the Peterborough 5k Grand Prix Series, in Eye.
First home for Fenland was Coach Robin Parker in 17:35, finishing third in his age group, followed by new member Robert Howlett (19:52), third lady Rebecca Cousins (19:56), Richard Dix (20:32), Stuart Sewell (20:48); Maire Irlam, who was first in her age group with 21:09, Jane Holmes (22:50), Pasquale Ruggerio (23:34) and Jane Greenwood (26:27).
The fourth race is scheduled for July 15 at the hilly Stamford course and the fifth and final race is at Werrington on July 29.
