TALENTED players from Wisbech Grammar School kicked off the rugby season in style with a trophy-winning performance in the Hampshire Collegiate School Festival.
The young first XV side powered past a host of rival schools to top their pool during the event held at Embley.
A tireless performance from the forwards then saw them claim a convincing 12-3 victory over Churcher’s College, Petersfield in the final.
Phillip Webb, head of boys’ sport, said: “This was an excellent achievement for a young team.”
