WISBECH Grammar School’s talented youngsters were in spectacular form on the rounders and cricket pitches as they hosted two tournaments.

There were four crushing wins for the rounders sides against Kimbolton, with the first team, under-15s, under-13s and under-12s all strolling to victory.

This was backed up by the young cricketers, who performed strongly in an inaugural sixes tournament at the school to finish with two second places.

Teacher Adrian Tomlins said the cricket tournament was “tremendously successful”. He said: “This is something that is new for schools and there doesn’t seem to be a sixes tournament like this anywhere else.”
