A WISBECH golfer sunk her first hole in one after more than 25 years of playing the game last weekend.
Joan Randerson, who plays off a handicap of 22, holed her ace on the 109-yard par three seventh hole at Ryston Park Golf Club. She achieved the feat during the club’s Lady President’s Day Stableford event.
Ms Randerson said: “I hit a good shot with my five iron which struck the ‘nearest the pin’ marker and rolled out of sight.
“I could not see my ball when I reached the green and was surprised and absolutely delighted to find it in the hole. There were tears in my eyes as my playing partners hugged and congratulated me”.
