WISBECH Fourths secured the West Norfolk Division 4 title on Saturday against Castle Acre - but by one point and in farcical fashion.
Castle Acre batted first and were struggling on 37-7, when Wisbech's bowlers had to toss the ball and refuse to attempt catches to ensure their opponents reached 120. That enabled Wisbech to secure the 18 points they needed to secure the title.
Castle Acre eventually reached 134 all out, and Wisbech comfortably reached their target. They won the league by one point after second-placed Swanton Morley gained maximum points in their game.
