WISBECH started strongly but failed to get within scoring chances against a Peterborough side that started the game one player down.

Then Lou Sandall opened her account for the day which allowed Wisbech to settle and dominate the rest of the game.

The second half was never really in doubt.

Laura Overland distributed the ball superbly and player of the match Steph Hanlon worked tirelessly winning back possession time and time again.

Lou Sandall added goals during the second half with regularity, struck from the edge of the D until she brought her tally to four for the day. Laura Overland added the fifth.

EWL PREMIER DIVISION

Wisbech Ladies I 0 Sudbury I 3

WISBECH started positively, dominating the game and gaining several short corners but were unable to convert.

Wisbech were unlucky not to score before half-time and the score remained 0-0.

In the second half Sudbury came out the stronger side, passing the ball with pace.

The visitors scored their first goal from a short corner and the second following from open play.

The fight went out of Wisbech and Sudbury capitalised with another well-executed short-corner strike.

Wisbech's player of the match was Natalie Ward.

THIS was an evenly-matched game with few scoring opportunities.

Wisbech were well-marshalled by captain Tina Forder from the back. Play was from end to end, neither team having many chances to score.

Rosie Humphrey had an outstanding game and was awarded player of the match for Wisbech.
