THE first member of a Wisbech-based Mixed Martial Arts Club to turn professional won his televised debut on Saturday night.
Jay Cuccienello, of Avaddon MMA, fought in the KAYO MMA event in Slough and beat Sam Ward with a slick arm bar that ended the bout two minutes into the second round.
Cuccienello has only been training with the club for a year and gained a small amount of boxing training in the army.
Fights are held in an caged-octagon and decided over three, five-minute rounds.
