SUTTON Bridge Golf Club’s Ladies’ Invitation Day pairs competition was won by Jenny Wells and Mary Ellis.
Spalding’s Ellis and Bridge’s Wells scored 44 points to beat Carole Whitelam (Sutton Bridge) and Marlene Morris (Kirton Holme) to the trophy by three points.
Elsewhere, Sutton Bridge Old Boys lost 6-1 at King’s Lynn but retained the ‘Davis Niblick’ cup with a 17-hole win over Tydd St Giles Golf Club. Bridge’s mixed team slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Feltwell.
