TALENTED teenager Liam Ward was the big winner as members of Thorney Running Club celebrated a successful season at their presentation evening.

The club, which has been running for more than 25 years, met at the Falcon in Whittlesey to hand out their awards.

Ward, 13, was the first Thorney runner in all of the championship races in 2010. He also represented Sir Harry Smith Community College and the county in a series of cross country runs.

The club meets in Thorney on Monday evenings and Whittlesey on Monday and Wednesdays. For more details visit: www.thorneyrunningclub.co.ohtrc
