MEMBERS of the first XI girls' hockey team at Wisbech Grammar School are celebrating an outstanding season of success.

In their final match of the term, the girls achieved a 6-0 win against Wymondham College, and the result took their final tally for the season to 11 wins, one draw and just one defeat.

During the season the grammar school girls scored a total of 49 goals - and only conceded 14 goals.

The highlights of the season included victories against the Perse Girls' School, Cambridge, Dame Alice Harpur School,

Bedford, Ratcliffe College, Leicestershire, Stamford High School, King's School, Ely, and Bedford Modern School.
