WISBECH Town kick-off their FA Vase dream tomorrow in buoyant mood after thumping Littleport Town 5-0 on Tuesday night.
Steve Appleby’s Fenmen romped to victory in the Cambs Invitation Cup First Round against a Littleport side who play two levels below them in the non-league ladder.
Striker Nick Davey bagged a hat-trick as Wisbech breezed into the competition’s quarter-finals. A Callum Reed penalty and a goal from Ollie Gale helped seal the rout.
Wisbech’s dream of playing in the Vase final at Wembley begins with a home tie against fellow Ridgeons Premier Division outfit Walsham-le-Willows in the competition’s first round.
The game kicks off at 3pm.
