Goals from the returning Danny Beaumont, Stuart Cobb and Billy Smith secured Wisbech Town a United Counties League opening day victory over Newport Pagnell Town.
The Fenmen surged into a two goal lead through Beaumont and Cobb, but Pagnell fought back to draw level.
Smith bagged the winner on 72 minutes with an exquisite curler into the top corner.
