TYDD ST GILES Golfer Jordan Hart was in a winning Lincolnshire under-16s side that won a county match at his club against Cambridgeshire.

The 36-hole contest was held on Tuesday and won 8-4.

The morning saw 18 holes played as foursomes, followed by singles in the afternoon.

Hart, 14, went from being three-down after nine holes but came back to finish three-up.

The teams thanked Tydd for hosting the event and congratulated the green staff for the excellent condition of the course.

Hart has only been playing golf for just under three years and is now playing off a handicap of eight.

Jordan is regularly picked to play in the club scratch team matches, and is the youngest player to do so.

He has set his sights on a professional golf career.
