MEMBERS from Tydd St Giles Golf Club took to the course for captain’s day - raising more than �800 for Help the Heroes.
More than 100 players took part in an individual stableford competition before celebrating with an evening presentation.
Club Captain John Mallett’s charity event saw Rob Simmonds triumph in the men’s contest with Lorraine Gallie winning the ladies’ tournament.
It was also announced that golfers will soon be playing two new holes at the course, thanks to the layout and design of club member Ron Colledge.
