THE first grading of Little Warriors at the Bushido Warrior Karate School took place on Saturday.
Twelve students, aged between four and seven, were tested on basic karate skills and picked up red/white belt status.
Chief Instructor, sensei Richard Smyth, said: "This is a first for the Bushido Warrior Karate School.
"I developed the Little Warriors programme to teach young students life skills, discipline and respect but in a game-based environment."
Lessons are held on Mondays at Walpole St Andrew and on Fridays in March. More classes are set to start soon to cope with expanding student numbers.
