MARCH Bears Rugby Club lost a training game at home against Thorney 21-15.
Twenty five players turned out for March in the match that was divided into four 20-minute sessions.
Glenn Raynor put March in front with an unconverted try in the second quarter but the visitors were 7-5 up at half-time.
A Matty Day penalty put March 8-7 and the same man converted after Jamie Kerse powered over the line to make it 15-7 to March.
But Thorney lifted their tempo and scored two more converted tries.
All are welcome to March's training sessions, which are at Elm Road sports field from 7pm on Thursdays/
The club's junior section train on Sundays from 10am-noon at the same venue and all welcome.
