A SUTTON Bridge Golf Club quartet fought off a hailstorm, thunder and lightning to win the Lincolnshire Union of Golf Clubs (LUGC) Rita Hurst Salver trophy.
Mark Charnley, Richard Ambrose, Mike Bell and Paul Lawrence - with the best three scores posted being used to decide the 18-hole Stableford competition - headed off a strong challenge from Sudbrook Moor Golf Club’s foursome.
Ambrose (38), Charnley (35), and Lawrence (33) saw Bridge post 106 beating Sudbrook by just two points.
