STEVE QUENBY had the back of his car smashed into but still managed to pick up two Class B victories at Tiger Racing's third meeting of the season.

The meeting was held at the challenging Rockingham circuit, where drivers contend with a twisty infield, high power pit straight and oval banking, at the first turn.

On the second lap of the first race, Stewart Fenton lost his brakes and crashed into the back of Quenby, from Wisbech.

Fenton retired and, despite backing off for a lap to check the handling of his car, Quenby took his class victory.

Meanwhile, Peterborough's Paul Dudley finished first overall in his Duratec-powered R6.

Clive Seer, from Wisbech, once more took up the challenge of another personal duel with Mick Grant, with Grant taking the Class win and Seer second.

With the track dried out, most were looking forward to getting some power down on the banked section of the track in the second race.

With Fenton's car too bent to continue, Dudley enjoyed a lights-to-flag overall win, fastest lap, and Class C victory.

A blown engine forced Long Sutton's Jack Walton to retire on the fourth lap.

Paul Clarke, from Wisbech, recovered from engine problems from the first race to claim a third in Class A.

A now slightly bent R6 was mastered by Quenby's driving skill and he took another Class B win and Gary Lapinskis, from Whittelsey, worked hard for his second place in Class B.

On lap nine a collision between Ryan Slaney-Smith and Seer saw Slaney-Smith head towards a wall and Seer's much slowed and damaged R6 limp over the line for another second in Class A.

Tiger Racing's next meeting will be at Lydden on June 28-29.
