The goals came from Andrew Wayte and Garry Jackson and ensured that Whittlesey are now five points clear of second-placed Deeping Sports with a game in hand.
Teenager Mehdi Mehpour impressed for Leverington and came close to scoring in the first half and centre-backs Lee Day and Simon Jones also performed well for the hosts.
Sports are 12th in the 16-team table.

Leverington manager Wayne Garner said: "We're struggling at the moment because we're having to change the team around a lot every week, but that was the best we've played for quite a while. We just gave away two sloppy goals.
