SHOOTER Tom Wenman, from Doddington, held his nerve to win Fenland Gun Club's Sporting Trophy with an excellent 45 out of 50.
Doddington's Tim Taylor came second with 43 and Dave Beaumant, from Guyhirn, was third with 42.
Beaumant then took revenge by beating Taylor in the Skeet Practice by one clay, scoring a perfect 25 out of 25.
The Down the Line Practice was taken by March's Mark Bridgmont, scoring 25/72 out of a possible 25/75. Taylor was again runner-up with 24/62.
The next shoot will be held at Washbrook Farm, Doddington on August 31, from 10.30am.
