WISBECH player-manager Gary Setchell will be looking for his players to show the famous Fenmen fighting spirit as they look to overcome two Ridgeons Premier League heavyweights in the next few days.

Wisbech play second-placed CRC, who are two points behind leaders Needham Market with two games in hand, on Boxing Day, at 11am.

They then take on sixth-placed Mildenhall Town away on December 28.

Setchell said: "CRC are flying at the moment - they have not lost since August.

"But they are used to playing at the Abbey Stadium and they will not like coming to our ground for an early kick off on Boxing Day in the freezing cold. I expect the game will be about who has the most fighting spirit and we can battle as good as anyone.

"CRC beat us 1-0 at the start of the season but we are a much better team now.

"Mildenhall is always a tough place to go but I believe we can go there and get a result."

Wisbech were due to play Wroxham away on Saturday but the match was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Setchell said: "It gives Jordan Yong, Kevin Leggett and Darren Jimson a bit more time to recover from their injuries and we will also have Billy Smith back in the squad.
