Young rugby talents from Wisbech honed their skills with the stars of 10-time English champions Leicester Tigers on Saturday.
The group from Wisbech took part in a match-day coaching clinic with the Tigers and then joined a 23,773-strong crowd as the Tigers beat Newcastle Falcons 30-3 in the Aviva Premiership at Welford Road.
Tigers match-day coaching clinics allow teams to work with Tigers coaches to develop their individual and team skills, as well as taking tips and techniques with them to work on.
The Wisbech players also had an opportunity to quiz Tigers wing Tom Brady about his life in professional rugby before they soaked up the match day atmosphere and watched the professionals in action.
They even managed to follow in the players’ footsteps by having a team photo taken on the famous turf at half-time in front of the crowd.
Wisbech coach Richard Melton said: “We’ve had a really challenging season so to get the chance to be here and experience it all is just brilliant.”
