It was a new ‘Tydd record’ at this year’s Tydd St Giles golf club spring open event – with 152 golfers from around the region teeing off in attempt to take home the winners trophy.
Vinney Day, the club’s captain, thanked all participants for making a “great competition played in glorious sunshine” and also thanked The Green Keepers, a tea, working to get the golf course in the correct condition to compete.
The individual competition overall winner was James Hale-Smith, beating second place Mike Lewarne, from Heacham Manor Golf Club, by eight points.
