PBs all-round for Fenland Runners at Grunty Fen Half Marathon

Six of the best!

Six Fenland Running Club members took part in the 19th Grunty Fen Half Marathon at Witchford Village on Sunday and every single one turned in Personal Best performances on a windy but flat and fast course.  First home was Maire Irlam, 15th lady position and 3rd lady in the Vet 40 category, in a time of 1.36.34, followed by the only male Fenland Runner Dave Hood in 1.38.55.  The next lady home was Cheryl Chapman in 1.53.26 followed by Jane Greenwood, 1.55.01, Louise Busby, 1.59.15 and Tracy Veenendaal, 2.15.47.

SIX Fenland Running Club members ran in the 19th Grunty Fen Half Marathon at Witchford, near Ely, and every single one recorded a personal best performance.

First Fenland Runner home on the windy, fast, flat course was Maire Irlam, who was the 15th female finisher and third in the Vet 40 category, in 1.35.34.

Next was Dave Hood in 1.38.55, followed by Cheryl Chapman (1.53.26), Jane Greenwood (1.55.01), Louise Busby (1.59.15) and Tracy Veenendaal (2.15.47).
