AN OUTWELL woman has become a black belt in the martial art of self defence aikido.
This is trained in pairs and all students are skilled in situations of when one is attacked.
Blocking, wrist locks and throws, restraint holds, and defence against weapons are all learned.
Outwell's Tracey Peckham was paired up with Andy Porter, from Downham Market, who has also just achieved a black belt.
Both are members of King's Lynn Cobra Academy of Martial Arts.
Instructor Dell Man said: "I would like to congratulate Tracey and Andy on their achievement.
"They have shown a great deal of hard work and dedication."
